Author & Editor: Julian Ho When I first signed up to be an Administrative Assistant, I expected writing emails, communicating with school administrators, managing school logistics, and last but not least, learning how to use spreadsheets from the master. When I first joined Ms. Heather in her office, she walked me through her tasks and aspects of our school life that she would like me to develop on. The most discussed topic was about the assistantship program itself. Ms. Heather had an idea of assigning each assistant to write a blog post every term. But it turns out, there was a way for me to go about actual coding. Weebly is a tool that allows you to drag in items and build websites without having to code. With the help of detailed tutorials and the simple mechanisms, I was able to start building the AAInterns website after three short days. Acknowledging the fact that the assistantship program is young, I aim to create a friendly and comprehensible website for students, teachers, and parents alike. Here are the goals that I would like to achieve by creating the website:
I finished adding the layouts and information by the end of October, in time to start editing the first blogs when they came in. My next step will be to design the blog page and upload the first blogs.
