I have a great passion for Math and sharing my knowledge with everyone in the school, especially the middle schoolers. It was my only goal when I stepped into the Ms. Sandra's Math class. According to Ms. Sandra, the kids are very active and talkative so sometimes they miss information from the lecture. Time after time, it will add up to a big knowledge gap that would hinder their grades and academic progress. From what I witnessed, there are lot of students who didn't know basic formulas and theorems taught in the class or the year before. Here is a small chart showing the score distribution of the class on a recent quiz:
According to those results, the average grade of the class was 61%. The average grade was pretty low, indicating the low academic level of the class. For the upcoming term, I will strive to improve their class average score from a D to C. My goal by the end of the school year is to raise the class average score to at least a. I have designed specific strategies in order to achieve my goal. For now, I will go back to review basic formulas and theorems with the students and observe the results.
